Roger Vivier
Le Casting
ART DIRECTIONSCENARIOTITLE DESIGN
What a pity being able to wear a Roger Vivier’s Bridal pair of shoes only once in a lifetime…
Except if you multiply the unions, or opportunities to wear them.
To promote its Bridal collection, the Luxury house of Roger Vivier wished to celebrate the glamorous actresses and directing from the Golden Age of Hollywood. Far from naturalism, the actress is staged as a pearl, and the movie is her shell wide opened to the spectator eyes: she is our focal point, a goal oriented fictional creature that shines.
The creative concept was thus settled on the definition of a wedding as a performance. Our bride actress embodies that control obsessed and perfectionist archetype of performer who faces difficulties to reach a decision on the verge of commitment. Is it only a casting ? Is she acting ? Is she dreaming ?
Motivated by psychological rather than social concerns, we attend her never-ending casting in which every pretender executes a final kiss scene that seems to leave her unsatisfied. Nevertheless every take is a thrilling occasion for our actress to put on a new pair of Roger Vivier shoes, and maybe reach, maybe, a certain kind of perfection.
